Welcome to St. Raphael Catholic Parish centered in the heart of Marin County! Our parish community stems from a long Catholic tradition dating back to 1817 when some of the first Franciscan missionaries, under the leadership of St. Junipero Serra, founded one of the many historic Californian missions. We treasure our patrimony and tradition handed down from Catholic to Catholic over the centuries. As a Catholic community, we take seriously our call to be disciples of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and in His name, we are sent to make disciples of all people. We are disciples focused on the family as the means of sanctification, supporting and caring for the family as the domestic church. In all things, as disciples, we as a parish community find our nourishment in the Blessed Sacrament, and thus are a people rooted in the Eucharist as the source and summit of our faith and identity!

Parish in brief:
Founded as a California mission in 1817 and established as a parish in 1884, St. Raphael Church & Mission is a Catholic parish located in San Rafael, California and is a part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco. As a Catholic community, St. Raphael Parish passionately believes that all have a right to encounter Jesus Christ and come to know Him as their personal Lord and Savior. In this light, we are committed to the sanctification and salvation of all peoples in the one Church of Jesus Christ, King of kings and Prince of Peace!
Our Parish Mission:
